Friends, Donors and Sponsors

In addition to the volunteers who contribute their time and talents to help operate the Market, individual, business and civic supporters also play a key role in Market viability by making advertising, financial/or in-kind contributions.

We are grateful for their willingness to donate money, extend grants, and/or provide access to their properties and services, helping us bring you the best in fresh food and artisan handcrafted products while growing our local healthy economy.

Friends of the Market

The City of Williamston

Each Sunday of the regular and holiday Market season, the City of Williamston generously provides access to the McCormick Park parking lot and the McCormick Park storage building to stage the Market and store related tables, chairs, canopies and supplies so that the Market can serve the local community. The City also posts the weekly Market schedule and theme on the digital message board adjacent to the Market’s southwest corner, a location easily visible to frequent pedestrian and vehicle traffic.

Local Businesses and Community Members

Throughout the Market season, local businesses display Market posters in storefronts, office and restaurant windows, and public notice spaces. . All of these efforts help to remind existing customers and prompt new customers to experience the Market on Sundays from mid-May to Mid-October and the December Holiday Market.

Friend of the Market Yard Sign Program and Market T-Shirts

Community members offer to display Market lawn signs on their property.

If you would like to participate in the Friend of the Market Yard Sign Program, please contact the Market Manager at marketmanager@sowinggrowth.org or call at 517-231-2124 to request the number of signs you desire and whether you would like to pick them up at the Market Information Booth or have them delivered to your home/office. FREE signs may be requested anytime.

Designed to increase promotion of the Market community-wide, all of these efforts help to remind existing customers and prompt new customers to experience the Market on Sundays from mid-May to mid-October, as well as the December Holiday Market.

For those who love T-Shirts and want to show your support another way, by wearing our Market logo, T-shirts are available! Financial Donations

Sowing Growth, the non-profit that operates the Market, continues to seek financial donations to improve the Market experience for vendors, customer, and volunteers alike.

Currently, there are 3 ways to make financial donations:

1. Zeffy Payment for Sponsorships and Sunday Market Supporters

A convenient way to make financial donations is to donate through this link or on our Facebook page.

2. Become a Sunday Market Supporter

This $100 donation explicitly supports expenses unique to the themed and/or special event activities designed for each Market Sunday. Donors supporting a particular Market Sunday will be recognized on the Welcome signs at the four entrances to the Market on that date.

If you want to become a Sunday Market Supporter, please use our link to the Sunday Market Supporter campaign or download and submit the Be a Sunday Market Supporter Form or message us at contact us or directly contact any of our Sowing Growth Board members.

3. Tiered Annual Sponsor

In addition to receiving general donations from the community, Sowing Growth offers a Tiered Sponsorship program for individuals and businesses outlined below. These funds are pooled for bigger ticket Market operating expenses and to seed fund development for down-the-road projects.

If you are interested in becoming a Tiered Sponsor, consider your tiered options and complete a donation payment using Zeffy . To obtain more information,  contact us.

Please note that as a Tiered Sponsor, you may elect to remain anonymous and or decline any or all publicity or promotional perks that are associated with the sponsorship.
