Christian Kelly Scott holds a Ph.D. in Rural Sociology and International Agriculture & Development from the Department of Agricultural Economics, Sociology, and Education at Pennsylvania State University. He is currently a Research Associate at Michigan State University in the Department of Food Science and Human Nutrition. His research focuses on societal issues of hunger and food insecurity. He enjoys running, soccer, traveling, and spending time with family. He joined the Sowing Growth board in 2024 to use his previous experiences with Farmers Markets’ in the area to help expand and grow the Williamston market. He grew up in Williamston and now lives locally with his wife, 2 sons, and 2 dogs.
